Public Relations Internship

Baer Consulting is a boutique communications firm specializing in healthcare. Bringing brands to life is what we do best.  The scope of our diverse projects encompass patient education, public relations, social media, writing, event planning, corporate communications and much more. 

Founded by Michele Baer in 2004, the company has expanded to a full-time team of six, and an extended nationwide team of 18. We’re headquartered in Montclair, New Jersey, just 15 miles from New York City and very easily accessible from public transportation. 

We’re looking for a college intern to join our team this fall semester and help us grow the company.  

This is a unique opportunity with unlimited potential to get hands-on experience, working right alongside the company’s founder and President who spent more than a decade in senior positions at leading NYC agencies. Baer Consulting is a fun, nurturing and supportive environment that stresses teamwork and excellence in all we do.   

Duties include:

• Work on direct-to-consumer communications and integrated marketing campaigns

• Conduct market research in support of current and potential programs

• Participate in brainstorm sessions

• Assist in national and grassroots media relations programs

• Help to create programs and new business presentations

• Act as liaison with third-party partners, including graphic designers, video production companies, advertising firms, etc.

You’re the right candidate if you’re ambitious, enthusiastic, a self-starter, passionate, eager, candid and hard-working, with excellent (almost obsessive) attention to detail. Major in journalism, PR, marketing, English or business preferred.
